Myra has a technical background working in Engineering and Design throughout her career until her retirement in 2014.  She has been designing and making jewelry since 2008 and truly enjoys the opportunity to use her right brain!

At Tierra y Luz Studio, Myra designs contemporary jewelry with a southwest spin.  In her collections, you will find unique combinations of gemstones that bring together colors of earthy yet refined harmony.  Often, Myra’s designs are a balance of rough and refined materials such as deerskin and pearls resulting in aesthetically pleasing jewelry that is comfortable to wear. 

 

In 2023 Myra was recognized by Albuquerque Art Business Association and awarded their Local Treasure distinction for her extraordinary contributions to our local art scene.  Myra serves on the Board of Directors for both Yucca Art Gallery and Placitas Studio Tour.
