Amy Atkinson is a multi-disciplinary artist, including her current work in binding handmade journals, and previous years of work in jewelry, watercolor, ceramics, weaving and spinning. She has a BFA in Design from the University of Texas at Austin, and has worked in corporations and private studios.

 

She was a member of a cooperative gallery in Lancaster, Ohio, and sold her jewelry at local festivals there. Since moving to New Mexico in 2022 she has indulged in her art practice again. Books have long been a passion of hers, and she’s been a member of an online bookbinding community since 2019. 

 

Her background in graphic design plays into the design of her books, searching for the correct feel and balance to each one.
