Tatulli - Oils

After my retirement from a government job in Information Technology, I decided to follow my life’s passion. All my experiences and interests, love for nature, poetry, history, and adventure are strongly embedded in my art process. My art is influenced by the symbolism and mysticism of Rossetti and Vrubel, as well as the primitivism of Cézanne, Picasso, Kandinsky, and Chagall’s fauvism.
I am interested in light, color, symbols, composition, perception of the moment, atmospheric feelings and not so much about realistic depiction. I use oil, acrylic, and palette knives to create fusion images of real life and dreams in Alla Prima technique. I am searching for freedom, feminine energy, and existential truth about life and human beings.
I consider my art to be impressionistic and expressionistic to some extent in all my works. I deeply care about viewer's emotions, and I hope to make them a bit happier. I mostly work in my studio using sketches and photographs as a base for my paintings, but I love to do a plein air work in the fall.
I am a member of the Yucca Art Gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I studied with world renowned artist Elena Goubar from Switzerland and am proud to be a part of her apprenticeship group in Europe, Canada, and the United States.
