Lari Tiller-Howell - Watermedia
My father taught me how to See, not just to look at the world around me. I am now hearing my father's voice again as I teach myself watercolor painting. Watercolor excites my imagination and teaches me patience through watching water evaporate.
Using water to move paint much like wind and water carved the earth, my work honors the environment, animals and history of the Southwest.
I find there is a constant tension between my careful observations of my surroundings and what I want you, the viewer, to gain from my perspective. If I can further the beauty you find in this dry, craggy, critter-full area, all the better.
