WE'RE MOVING!!!
We're very excited -- our new home is quite a bit more spacious than the old, and, though only a block and a half away, much closer to the Plaza. Starting Friday, April 16, you'll be able to find us right behind La Placita, at the entrance to the Patio Market courtyard and shops.
And although we'll have to close for a few days to make the move, you'll still be able to find us in the old location through April 10 (the day before Easter).
GRAND OPENING
We can't wait to show off our new digs! Please join us from 1 to 5 pm on Sunday, May 2, for our Grand Opening. Renee Brainard Gentz will be demonstrating the art of quilting and Glenda Jensen will show interested onlookers how to paint an Albuquerque sunset in pastel. And of course there'll be refreshments -- not to mention most of your favorite artists -- on hand.
Please do take just a few minutes to join us in celebrating spring, our new location, and our art and artists. Here's the map to the new gallery.
FEATURED ARTIST
Working in watercolor and watermedia, Barbara Baum celebrates the rich interconnectedness of the natural world surrounding us with pieces featuring animals and people, as well as a number of exquisitely rendered New Mexico landscapes. You can't look at just one -- Barbara's paintings are such compelling treasures we're sure you'll want to see more!
If you find yourself in Soccoro before April 11th, you can see some of Barbara's works in a 2-woman exhibition, End of Winter, at New Mexico Tech's Macey Center Auditorium. Closer to home, you'll always find a large number of Barbara's works at the Yucca Art Gallery in Old Town.
And if you want to see some of Barbara's newest and most inspired pieces -- and/or if New Mexico isn't in your plans any time soon -- just click here.
