Mary Ann Fisher
For Mary Ann Fisher, creating pottery is an adventure. And lots and lots of fun.
The creative process includes preparing the clay, creating a shape using a potters wheel or slab techinques, trimming, drying, loading the kiln, bisque firing, decorating and glazing, loading and firing the kiln again--many steps and much time are needed for each pot. The end result is a piece of functional stoneware meant to be used on a daily basis.
"Even after all these years, each new pot is a small miracle...."
