 Carol Elizabeth Erickson
Although Carol has loved books for a lifetime, it never occurred to her until recent times to make them. But once she discovered the art and craft of bookbinding, she was hooked. For several years, professionals in the field were few and far between in Albuquerque, so Carol traveled to points near and far to learn. The more she learned, the more she had to know.
To date, Carol's books have been sent to Germany, England, Costa Rica, Uruguay, and Scotland--and Bo Derek has purchased two of them as well. In addition, her work has been juried into both the New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair and Weems Artfest.
Her only regret is that she didn't find the enjoyment of bookbinding and making handbound books many years ago. But she is grateful for the opportunities that have been afforded to her since she became associated with the art.
