The colors and mountains of New Mexico have influenced my painting style for many years. There is no other blue as the blue of the New Mexico sky, or the wild colors that we see in our sunsets. I believe my love for all these colors is largely a result of having to live away from them for several years in a wet and dreary climate.
I love the luminosity and transparency that watermedia affords more than any other media. I sincerely hope that my love for New Mexico and the southwest is evident in my paintings.
